Henny Huisman was completely shocked. During an interview with the AD, his teeth started to crumble. “Do you mind if I try to tape it down?”
It’s quite sad for 74-year-old Henny Huisman: the number of years he has been complaining about his TV absence has now exceeded the number of years he was on television at all. Luckily he gets from it A.D still some credits, because he decides to interview the TV senior because of the 40th anniversary of his former Soundmix show.
Tooth out
However, during the interview something terrible happens: Henny’s teeth crumble. “The conversation is halfway through when Henny Huisman (74) takes a bite out of his cheese sandwich and grabs his mouth. A moment later he looks dismayed at the tooth in his hand,” the newspaper said.
“Also at the front,” grumbles Henny, “when he has detected with his tongue the hole left by the loose crown,” writes the AD.
Henny gone
A few minutes later, Henny decides he wants to pause the interview. “I don’t feel very comfortable with it. Would you mind if I try to tape it up?”
The interview takes place in his daughter’s restaurant in Bakkum. Fifteen minutes later, Henny returns there, after stopping by the house to put the crown back in.
Superglue
How did Henny do that? “Second glue,” he says. “No, my wife didn’t help, I did it myself. She thought it was terrible for me. That that also had to happen during an interview.”
Ultimately, the interview was able to continue, despite Henny’s crumbling teeth. The most interesting quote? “I am not Marco Borsato’s father.”
