Ten days after a visit to the king, still no top meeting on the budget: “De Wever is waiting for a signal from Bouchez”

After his “Sire, give me 50 days” speech, Prime Minister De Wever has still not brought his top ministers together for new budget consultations. Political journalist Karel Lattrez from VTM NIEUWS explains: “De Wever is waiting for a clear signal from Bouchez. As long as there is no agreement on discussing a possible VAT increase, there will be no consultation with his top ministers.” In other words: the first consultation is still pending.
