The fire brigade advises to keep windows and doors closed due to the low-hanging smoke in the area. The school building is no longer in use and the windows are boarded up.
In order to reach the fire as best as possible, the fire brigade is doing a lot of demolition and chopping, says a spokesperson for the Safety Region. “But we don’t see any flames, mainly smoke.”
The spokesperson reports that it may take some time before the fire is completely extinguished. “We’ll be at it for another hour anyway, but I don’t think the fire will get any worse.”
