Four out of eight games won. Not a start to the season to write home about. But now Kortijk seems to have found the right formula. The first quarter was messy and the Dutch were able to keep pace, but then the Spurs thundered further. A 14-0 run in the second quarter was enough to close the gap.
Also in quarters three and four, coach Johan Roijakkers’ team showed that they are gradually regaining their level. Leiden, the Netherlands, will visit next week.
