The Dutch now get most of their tobacco from abroad: ‘Treasury will miss out on 2.6 billion euros this year’
The Dutch have never bought cigarettes and rolling tobacco from across the border in such large numbers, due to the large price differences with other European countries. Now, 50 percent of cigarettes smoked come from other countries.
