Järvenpää’s Haukat, playing in the Suomi series, strengthens its attack when Teemu Selänten 25 year old boy Leevi Selänne joins the ranks of the team.

Selänte’s belt has accumulated only one game since the beginning of the season, which came in the Mestis club Joensuu Kiekko-Poji.

Hawks inform on Facebook, that Selänne is already available on Saturday, when Muik Hockey visits Järvenpää.

– Leevi has played the first season in Mestis in Joensuu’s Kiekko-Poji and is now applying for a permanent place in Haukkoi for the rest of the season, the publication reads.

Haukat leads the Finnish series with 35 points ahead of Muik Hockey, which has played two games less.

Selänte’s performances last season at Sweden’s fourth-highest league level in Ockelbo HC brought him 24 power points (15+9) in 32 matches. The 2023–24 season was spent in Kajaani Hoki’s Mestis team, where he scored 2+2 in 23 matches.
