After sports director Thomas Brendel left Dynamo Dresden, the second division team Dr. Jürg Kasper appointed as acting second managing director. The 56-year-old therefore resigned from his position on the supervisory board with immediate effect. From now on, Kasper will temporarily support managing director Stephan Zimmermann in the commercial area, who will temporarily take over his tasks in the sporting area after Brendel is released.

“We would like to thank Dr. Jürg Kasper for his willingness to take on further responsibility for our association in order to master this phase of transition together. With his more than ten years of experience on the association’s supervisory board, he has the necessary knowledge about important issues in day-to-day business as well as the strategic tasks that lie ahead. After the general meeting, the newly elected committee will take care of the future structure and filling the vacant managing director positions as quickly as possible,” said the chairman of the supervisory board Jens Heinig.

Zimmermann added: “After the change in management, a quick and competent solution was found with Dr. Jürg Kasper to deal with the challenges of the next few weeks. Together with head coach Thomas Stamm and his coaching team as well as the squad planner and the scouts, we will prepare the upcoming winter transfer phase. It is important to work closely with all those responsible in the sporting area to tackle the tasks in the interests of our sports community.”
