Fenerbahçe announced on its official website on October 12, 2025 that İrfan Can Kahveci and Cenk Tosun were excluded from the squad. A statement came from İrfan Can Kahveci of the yellow-dark blue team regarding the process. Kahveci, in his statement on his social media account, said:
“I completely respect the decision made. I have no problems with our management or my coach. I did not have any problems during this process, and the same with all my teammates. It is impossible for me not to think about Fenerbahçe’s well-being or not be happy about their victory!”

I personally think I have the right to respond to some things. Because now, fake news is sent to me almost every day from those around me and people believe them.”
“I strangled my teammates for the bonus, you may be saying these things for the money, but for me the money, the bonus, has no such value. Nothing like this has definitely happened. I have never opened my mouth for a bonus for a day and I have never had such a fight with any of my teammates. What happened is very normal for everyone who knows the locker room and is an issue that is closed after 5 minutes.”
