Armed robbery on Mark Gillis: four men report to the police

The four men who were seen at Mark Gillis’ chalet a few days before the robbery have turned themselves in to the police.

That reports the TV program Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday evening. The men themselves contacted the police after a broadcast by Bureau Brabant on Monday.

Further investigation
Gillis was brutally robbed at his chalet at the Prinsenmeer holiday park in Ommel last November. Three men waited for him in the middle of the night, beat him and ransacked his house. This was all recorded on surveillance images, which could be seen in Bureau Brabant on Monday.

In days before the robbery on Mark Gillis, a number of men were filmed near his chalet. Police believe they were scouting the area. Further investigation is now required to determine whether the four men who came forward played a role in the robbery.

Following the broadcast of Bureau Brabant, the police already received seven tips on Tuesday. The investigation is still in progress.
