Amsterdam (AP) – For the former Wolfsburg Bundesliga coach Mark van Bommel, the head of the Dutch national soccer team after the World Cup in Qatar is not an option.
“Not yet. I’m still a young coach, 44,” said van Bommel on the fringes of the international match against Germany on ARD, adding: “National team coach is a bit too early.” Bond coach Louis van Gaal’s contract expires after the World Cup in Qatar.
Van Bommel took up the post of coach in Wolfsburg at the start of the season but had to leave after less than four months. “I can say a lot about what happened in Wolfsburg. But you don’t do that,” said the former international and former Bayern professional.
