UEFA also specified that «the Executive Committee will nominate the federations that will host the eight finals in September 2026».

The Turin Stadium is back on UEFA’s radar. The Juventus facility is in fact among those included in the list of candidates to host a European final – Europa League or Conference League – in the 2028 and 2029 seasons. UEFA itself made this known in an official communication.

«UEFA confirms that it has received expressions of interest from 15 associations to organize the 2028 and 2029 finals of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League and UEFA Women’s Champions League. Expressions of interest are not binding. The final offers must be submitted, together with the application dossiers, by 10 June 2026″, reads the note. UEFA also specified that «the Executive Committee will nominate the federations that will host the eight finals in September 2026». The path, therefore, is already set: the competition for the assignment of the finals of the 2028 and 2029 club tournaments started on 11 July 2025, with 22 October 2025 as the deadline for submitting the expression of interest and 10 June 2026 for sending the complete dossiers.

For Turin it wouldn’t be a first time. The Juventus Stadium has already hosted the Europa League final in 2014, which Sevilla won on penalties over Benfica. In 2021 the facility, together with the “Giuseppe Meazza” in Milan, was chosen for the Nations League Finals: the France-Belgium semi-final was played in Turin and the final for third place was won 2-1 by Italy against Belgium. Also in Turin, in 2022, the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League was also played, with Olympique Lyon winning 3-1 over Barcelona.
