Jere Karalahti has not applied today Thursday for a retrial of his imprisonment, even if he had the opportunity to do so.

Karalahti was imprisoned in October on probable cause, suspected of a serious drug crime. After his imprisonment, he has been able to apply for a retrial of his imprisonment case every two weeks.

Karalahti legal assistant, lawyer Mikko Ruuttunen applied for a retrial of her principal’s detention case two weeks ago, but the Helsinki district court decided at that time that Karalahti would remain in custody.

Karalahti could have applied for the matter to be heard again today, but this has not been done. The Coercive Measures Department of the Helsinki District Court confirms that the Karalahti case is not among the cases being processed today.

Iltalehti reached out to Ruuttunen, who confirmed that there is no hearing today.

Ruuttunen gave yesterday, Wednesday, to Seiska short comments about the events of the coming days.

– It will be resolved in the next few days, what happens here, Ruuttunen said.
