SSV Ulm 1846 is still unlucky with injuries: central defender Jonas David (25) tore a cruciate ligament in his left knee in the 5-0 defeat at SC Verl on Saturday and will be out for months. It is the fourth person from Ulm this season to receive this diagnosis. Previously, captain and defensive colleague Johannes Reichert (34), striker Dominik Martinovic (28) and midfielder Marcel Wenig (21) had torn their cruciate ligaments.

“We have had an absolute streak of bad luck when it comes to injuries this season. Jonas will receive the best possible support from our medical department and from all of us. We wish him a quick and good recovery!”, said managing director Markus Thiele. David came to the Sparrows in the summer from WSG Tirol in Austria, for whom he played ten games (one goal) as a regular until his injury.
