The attic floor burned out completely, while the floors below sustained serious damage. Thanks to the quick intervention of the fire brigade, the nearby house was saved.
The affected residents will receive shelter for the night through the municipality of Koekelare. During the extinguishing works, Ter Heide and Veldstraat were completely closed to traffic.
