Officers in Tilburg had their hands full with a confused woman on Saturday afternoon. The woman appeared to have a psychosis and was throwing things. When she tried to attack an officer, she was tackled to the ground. There was no psychological help.
According to police, the woman refused to take her medication. The situation was worrying, the officers wrote on social media. Yet no psychological help arrived on site. The ambulance staff were also unable to give the woman medication to calm her down.
“The woman remained sitting on the ground in the rain,” the officers wrote. “It was clear she needed help that could not be provided.”
Eventually the situation calmed down. After the police left, the woman went back inside.
