In addition to Veurne, the adjustment in other West Flemish offices is also difficult. Earlier this week there were already actions in the Bpost office in Roeselare for the same reason.
According to Bpost, it is too early to draw conclusions. “It is important to adjust the scheme based on data and facts,” says spokesperson Mathieu Goedefroy. “We want to provide temporary reinforcement for postal workers who are currently finding it too difficult, but we will not be hiring people permanently at this time.”
An evaluation will follow in January. “Then we can evaluate a representative period. At that time we can say where permanent employees should be added. We are happy to talk to postmen individually to listen to their grievances and do not want them to become overwhelmed by work.”
