After all the successful musician biopics, it’s now Bruce Springsteen’s turn! The long-awaited film “Deliver Me From Nowhere” will be released in German cinemas on October 23rd – with “The Bear” star Jeremy Allen White in the lead role as the “Boss”.

It tells the story of the creation of Springsteen’s probably most intimate, harsh album: “Nebraska”. In 1982 the musician found himself at a turning point. Everyone expects him to have the next big hit. Springsteen escapes and records some of the darkest songs of his career on a four-track recorder in a simple bedroom, in which he talks about people on the margins of society.

For “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” director Scott Cooper relied on the book of the same name by Warren Zanes. But it is not just a film about “Nebraska”, but above all a portrait of a thoughtful musician who may not live up to expectations.
