A woman was injured in an accident on the A58 at the Princeville junction in Breda on Sunday evening. A motorist unexpectedly veered onto the emergency lane, after which another car behind this car had to brake hard. Then a third car crashed hard into the back of it. A woman in the passenger seat in the latter car was injured. While the road was closed, a bus driver also created a dangerous situation.
The woman in the passenger seat of the rear car was removed from the car by ambulance personnel. She has been taken to hospital. No other people involved in the accident were injured.
While the emergency services were working and the cars had to be removed, the exit was closed. The driver of a bus (full of passengers) then stopped in the middle of the highway and asked the police if he could pass. The police admonished the man and told him to continue driving and not to stop on the highway. The bus then drove around the traffic cones, under the red crosses and through the barrier.
It is not known whether the driver received a fine.
