Club parts ways with Postecoglou after eight games

As soon as the game against Chelsea ended, the decision followed. Nottingham Forest part ways with Ange Postecoglou.
After the clear 3-0 home defeat against Chelsea FC, Nottingham Forest has parted ways with team manager Ange Postecoglou with immediate effect. As the club announced, the decision was made due to “a series of disappointing results and performances.”
Postecoglou only took over as coach in September as the successor to Nuno Espírito Santo. Under his leadership, the Premier League club remained winless in eight competitive games across all competitions. In total, Postecoglou was only in office for 39 days. The negative record in the Premier League is held by Sam Allardyce, who only worked for 30 days at Leeds United in 2023.
The team also had nothing to gain against Chelsea. The hosts kept up for a long time, but after the break Josh Acheampong (49th minute), Pedro Neto (52nd) and Reece James (84th) scored for the guests. The decision was thus made in favor of the Londoners – and a little later also that about the future of Postecoglou.
