A car in Assen-Oost was set on fire last night, the police suspect.
Around three o’clock a fire broke out in the car parked in Violenstraat. Police officers managed to extinguish the fire themselves. The car sustained damage to the right rear wheel.
“The situation at the car means that we assume that the fire was lit,” said a police spokesperson, who did not want to indicate what the police found there. “That is part of the investigation. In any case, we are conducting research in the area, including looking at camera images.”
