TSV Havelse strengthens the midfield center with Tom Berger. The 24-year-old, who had previously trained with coach Samir Ferchichi’s team for a long time, signed a contract with the third division newcomer on Wednesday until the end of the season. The midfielder, who trained at VfL Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen, was under contract with Dynamo Dresden for the past two seasons, which was not extended in the summer.

“Tom has shown in the training sessions that he is eager to become part of our team. He has a strong left foot, ball security, a good passing game and can be used flexibly in central midfield. He also has a high level of self-confidence when playing with the ball, is always ready to be passed on and impresses with his playing strength and composure. When analyzing how the season has gone so far, these are qualities that can help our game enormously. That’s why “We are very pleased that he is now officially part of the team,” said sports director Florian Riedel.

Berger, who played 27 games (one goal) for SGD, added: “I’m very happy that it worked out and that I’m now part of TSV Havelse. Both the team and the club’s employees gave me a good feeling, so I immediately felt at home. Now I’m looking forward to giving everything and doing my part to achieve the club’s goals.” After ten match days, the promoted team is in second-to-last place in the table with just four points and still without a win.
