At Partenio the highest percentage of stadium filling was recorded, equal to 89.1%. Followed by Palermo and Spezia, the leaders Modena at 50%
Which team fills its stadium the most in Serie B? After seven days, all teams have played at least three games at home, while some have already played four in front of their home fans. We analyzed the relationship between the average number of spectators present and the capacity of the respective stadiums. Avellino, newly promoted, is the team with the highest filling percentage, equal to 89.1%. Great flop for Bari, which boasts the largest stadium in the championship but is only 22.1% full.
DOMINATES THE AVELLINO
—
Let’s start with the highest data. Avellino is the team with the highest percentage of stadium occupancy, equal to 89.1%. He has so far played three matches at Partenio, a stadium which can currently hold 11,688 seats (about 40 thousand at full capacity, however at the moment many areas are not accessible), with an average spectator of 10,409. The fifth position in the ranking testifies to the excellent data. According to Filippo Inzaghi’s Palermo, which boasts a filling capacity of 87.6%. At Barbera there is enthusiasm for a season that could be the return to Serie A after years of bitterness. Spezia, last in the standings and playoff finalists last year, have so far brought 77.4% of fans to the stadium in the four matches played at the Picco. Continuing in decreasing order we find Sudtirol: four races at Druso and 73.7% full. Then we find Sampdoria who, despite the great difficulties at the start of the championship, filled the Ferraris for 70.8% in four matches. Sixth was Catanzaro with 67.9%, seventh was Mantua with 67.5%, eighth was Frosinone with 67.3%, ninth was Venezia with 57.4% and tenth was Cesena, which filled Manuzzi with 50.7%.
FLOP CHEATING
—
The right side of the table is opened by league leaders Modena, who hosted 50.6% of their fans at the Braglia. The average spectators recorded in the four home games were 10,695, compared to the capacity of 21,151. Moving down we find Juve Stabia, ninth in the general ranking with 10 points, and which boasts a stadium filling capacity of 46.7%. With 41.4% we find Reggiana, which plays at the Mapei Stadium (21,584 capacity) and recorded an average of 8,934 spectators. Virtus Entella, newly promoted, has a good figure: 41.3% of the fans who colored the Sannazzari of Chiavari. Pescara brought 41% of the fans to the Adriatic, with 8,386 average spectators out of a capacity of 20,476. Monza has very low numbers: only 37.9% of fans hosted at the Brianteo, which has a capacity of up to 17,102. Padova plays at Euganeo (capacity of 19,376) and has a stadium filling capacity of 35.4%. Carrarese (33.3%), Empoli (33%) and, sensationally, Bari close the ranking. The red and whites boast the largest stadium in Serie B (58,270 seats), but they fill it only 22.1% (with the protest of the fans which contributes to emptying the stands).
