The Finnish football team’s World Cup qualifier is now a thin theoretical dream.

On Sunday evening, the second giant of the G block took the expected victory from Lithuania with a 2-0 goal, while practically cut off the Huuhkaja road towards next year’s World Cup.

Poland made it clear from the start of the match that it has come to win. Sebastian Szymański took the away team lead as early as 15 minutes, and Robert Lewandowski Finished the final score 2-0 in 64 minutes.

After the Dutch crushed in Finland earlier in the evening 4-0, the sequel to the hustle and bustle rests with the total melting of the Polish.

After Sunday’s matches, the Netherlands leads the block with 16 points, Poland is second with 13 points and Finland is third with 10 points.

The winner of the block is moving directly to the World Cup and the second place will receive the place in the qualifying round.

Poland also has one match less played than Finland, and its remaining games are against the Netherlands and Malta.

Finland could still get to the point if it wins Malta and Poland will lose both remaining matches. Even then, the solution would go to a goal difference, which is currently more than eleven goals in Poland.
