Before the Bayern duel: Worries about BVB star Guirassy

Next weekend, BVB has the top Bundesliga game against FC Bayern. Now the Borussia have to fear for their top scorer.
Borussia Dortmund are plagued by injury concerns ahead of the Bundesliga summit meeting with FC Bayern Munich next Saturday (from 6:30 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online). Top striker Serhou Guirassy had to cut short his trip to the Guinea national team due to injury. As the association announced, Guirassy is on his way back to Dortmund.
The 29-year-old traveled to the national team already injured and therefore only watched the game against Mozambique from the bench on Thursday. It is now clear that he will not be able to play against Botswana next Tuesday either. So far, Guirassy has played 26 international matches for Guinea.
It is not known what exactly ails the striker. The association simply said it was a muscular injury. It is unclear whether the injury could prevent him from playing against Bayern. A loss would hit BVB hard because the striker is one of the most important players. This season he has already scored six goals and provided three assists in eight games across all competitions.
The game against Bayern is definitely important in the Bundesliga title race. Dortmund is currently the first pursuer of the leaders from Munich, but with 14 points, Borussia are already four points away from the German record champions. If they lose in a direct duel, they could be seven points behind and Dortmund could lose up to three places in the table.
Most recently, Guirassy was out for the Bundesliga game against Mainz (2-0) at the end of September, but was then used again in the Champions League against Bilbao and in the league against Leipzig.
