Werder Bremen has to do without Felix AGU for months. The defender was seriously injured against FC St. Pauli.
Werder Bremen announced that Felix AGU will be out for several months due to an injury to the syndesmosis band. The 26-year-old full-back injured himself against FC St. Pauli in the Bundesliga game on Saturday.
Team doctor Robert Gorzolla confirmed the injury after an examination. The treatment options for the Nigerian international are still being examined.
Head coach Horst Steffen expressed his regret about AGU’s failure: “I’m incredibly sorry for Felix. We will do everything to make him fit as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we have to assume that Felix will be missing in the long term.”
There was an all -clear with midfielder Jens Stage on Sunday. The Dane had also injured the upper body in the game against FC St. Pauli and was taken to the hospital after the final whistle. Studies showed a breeding of the chest without ribs or organs being affected.
