As the last German player from the victorious Olympic final 2016, Sara Däbritz ended her career in the national football team.

The midfielder, at the European Championships last summer, said at DFB.de after twelve years and 111 international matches (18 goals) “Now the right moment came to say goodbye. It feels right for me.”

The 2013 European champion, under contract with Real Madrid since the beginning of the season, said: “From the first to the last game I proudly, joy and humility.
