The Islamist Palestinian organization Hamas has accepted parts of US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the Gaza War.

Among them is the release of all hostages, she said. The terrorist organization also called for further negotiations.

Observers had expected that the terrorist organization could request changes to the plan. The Israeli broadcaster “i24news” reported that from Israeli perspective there is no scope for this – Hamas could only accept or reject the plan. Netanyahu had announced the continuation of the Gaza War in the event of a rejection.

The Hamas announced in the evening that it was fundamentally ready to released all living and dead hostages. The prerequisite is the dismissal of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons provided for in the peace plan and that “reasonable conditions for the exchange on site are guaranteed” – without explaining these conditions in more detail.

Approval to administration by a transitional government

The plan stipulates that all 48 hostages of Hamas are returned from the Gaza Strip within 72 hours. After that, Israel is said to release around 250 Palestinian prison inmates sentenced to life in prison and arrived around 1,700 after October 7, 2023.

The Islamist organization continued that it agreed that the area was initially ruled by a transitional government of Palestinian Technocrats after the end of the war under the supervision of an international body.

The future of the Gaza Strip and the “fundamental rights of the Palestinian people” would have to be treated in a “uniform Palestinian framework,” said the terrorist organization that Hamas had to be involved. She had sent the intermediary states to her answer and now wanted to discuss further details in negotiations.

Answer shortly after Ultimatum Trumps

US President Donald Trump presented the plan for an end to the Gaza War on Monday during a meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington. Netanyahu had agreed. Just a few hours before the publication of the Hamas response, Trump of Hamas had set a “last” deadline for an approval of his peace agreement – until Sunday evening at 6 p.m. (local time Washington, 0.00 a.m. CEST, Monday).

Trump had written in his post on Friday that most of the Hamas members were encircled and suggested that he only had to give his approval so that they would be eliminated. “And as far as the rest are concerned: we know where and who they are and they are hunted and killed.” The agreement is a way for the remaining fighters to get away with life.

According to Plan Gaza Strip, Israel must not annex or occupy

Trump’s plan also provides that the Israeli army gradually withdraws from the Gaza Strip. Hamas should not be involved in the future administration of the coastal area. Hamas members who give up their weapons and promise “peaceful coexistence” can receive or leave the plan for Amnesty. Israel must neither annex the Gaza Strip nor occupy permanently.

No Palestinian residents of the Gaza Strip should be forced to leave; Departure and return should take place on a voluntary basis. An international stabilization group (ISF) should ensure security and at the same time train Palestinian police forces.

For the reconstruction of the area largely destroyed in two years of war, an internationally financed “Trump plan for economic development”, investments and a special economic zone are planned to create jobs. In the long term, this should promote peace with an “inter -religious exchange” and, after reforming the Palestinian Authority (PA), open a perspective for a Palestinian state.

Plan of the US President met with approval internationally

The war was triggered by the massacre in Israel carried out by terrorists of Hamas and other organizations, in which around 1,200 people were killed on October 7, 2023 and more than 250 others were dragged into the Gaza strips as hostages.

According to the health authority controlled by the Hamas, more than 66,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip, including numerous women and children.

Trump’s plan met with approval internationally. The Palestinian Authority (PA), which manages parts of the West Bank, also praised the US peace plan. A comprehensive agreement on the end of the Gaza War would also pave the way for a two-state solution, the PA said.

Right -wing extremist coalition partners Netanyahus, on the other hand, reacted with sharp criticism – they had called for an annexation and resettlement of the coastal strip, from which Israel had withdrawn 20 years ago.
