Thomas van Groningen thinks it will be difficult to take the Talent Prize of Televizier. Will Robbert Rodenburg, who is known as empty, away with the price? “Huge fan base.”
It is the Rising Star van SBS 6: Thomas van Groningen. He turned out to be able to replace Hélène Hendriks effortlessly as a presenter of the Oranjezomer last summer and can currently be seen daily as presenter of News of the Day. It is therefore deserved that he has been nominated for the Talent Prize of the TV guide Televizier.
Minor chance
Thomas, however, sees it gloomy. His competitors are Robbert Rodenburg, who licks a different Dutch celebrity every week on his YouTube channel, and Stefan Jurriens, who runs behind the same category of Dutch celebrities in the hunting season. “Those are really guests who have a huge fan base and following,” said the presenter in Shownieuws.
He continues: “I think it is little chance that I can win it, but I think it is a great honor to be nominated. We also do something, we do our best and that you also get a nomination, I think that is a very nice honor.”
Empty
It would be a blamage if Robbert took the price and not Thomas. The BN’er-likker is known as empty, someone who is with the stars and is happy to hang on Instagram with people around the neck that are more famous than he. Is that really worth a price?
Showieuws star Dyantha Brooks also likes a game of BN’er-Likken, but really thinks Robbert is missing out on that prize. She focuses on Thomas. “I think he underestimates his chances, because he is talking about Robbert Rodenburg and Stefan Jurriëns, but he has VI behind him and the Oranjezondag. A pretty big following Also too? ”
Take a statuette
Show expert Eline de Ruig also goes for Thomas. “Yes, and if you look at what he has achieved in the past year. That he first presents such a program from a political reporter. The Oranjezomer of course, of course. I think he will take that statue home.”
In the meantime, Thomas van SBS 6 has already received a prize: News of the day will also take place in 2026. He is proud of it: “Of course I did not enter until the beginning of the year, actually as a replacement for Art Rooijakkers, and then those viewing figures were not always great.”
