Jort Kelder has a strong suspicion that Evert Santegoeds uses the private life of Princess Alexia Puur to remove his weekly magazine Privé from the Slop. “That’s really nonsense!” Calls the editor -in -chief.

Evert Santegoeds has been working on the cover of his gossip magazine Privé for two weeks now with the love life of Princess Alexia. First with the news that she grabbed a terrace just after the balcony scene on Prinsjesdag and then got into the car with singer Antoon, this week with the actual images. He did not dare to publish it last week.

“Mediacode is nonsense!”

The Government Information Service is always very angry with media that do not respect the private life of the royals. They then start waving with the media code, which unilaterally prescribes what the press should adhere to.

That media code is nonsense anyway, says Jort Kelder. He says Eva: “I think that media code is nonsense, because a journalist just has to have his own code and then you don’t have to draw a note at the RVD. But you also give those girls their own life and your own childhood. But yes, it is freedom of expression.”

“Leaf in Slop!”

Jort thinks Evert desperately attempts to boost the private running figures. “That leaf is of course not going so well. He just has to have a circulation, because all those gossip magazines have of course been taken over by those Juice Channels. The earnings model ceases and then you get things like this.”

He continues: “However, I think the Netherlands is turning against him, because people don’t feel like it, because I think everyone grants the crown princess a good life. She has already been threatened, has already had to go down and all hassle. But that media code, again, I am not for it.”

‘Stop Circus’

Yet in principle, Jort is on the side of the press. “If they don’t want to, they can say:” guys, we stop this circus, “because this is part of the world in which we are. Everyone has a camera. That is just the case. Every Dutch celebrities are also outlaws.”

Hostess Eva Jinek: “Yes, but we chose it ourselves, Jort.”

Jort: “Yes, but they also chose not to get out of it. That is part of this job. Yes, sorry, then you shouldn’t do it.”

What does Evert say?

Private boss Evert believes that Jort blunders pretty well. He responds at Shownieuws: “Again: it is not the crown princess and it is not, as he said, the princess who was in hiding, so Jort could have prepared better in that regard.”

He continues: “It is completely nonsense to say that the leaf is going badly and that we are doing it, because at the time with Willem-Alexander and Máxima was roughly at the height of the circulation of private and then we did exactly the same.”

Yvonne survived

That Jort talks a lot of nonsense, says Evert. “And that we were taken over by the Juice Channels? I don’t know what Jort is based on, but we have already survived Yvonne Coldeweijer.”

He concludes sighing: “I have seen stronger TV appearances from Jort.”
