TOpre Al Mauto – National Museum of the Turin Automobile The exhibition Back to the future. Time prototypesedited by Gianluigi Ricuperati, who explores the profound relationship between two of the most iconic mass design objects – watches and cars – highlighting the emotional, mechanical and symbolic resonances. The exhibition celebrates the fortieth anniversary of Back to the futurethe film in which a car turns into a time machine.
The protagonist of the first part of the exhibition is the iconic Delorean DMC-12 of 1981 designed by Giorgietto Giugiaro, accompanied by figures and lucid-coming from the Italdesign Archive-selected to tell the creative process behind the car that marked the history of cinema and design.
