Suddenly they are everywhere: drones. Last week several Scandinavian airports were flattened, flights were diverted and even the Polderbaan at Schiphol closed temporarily because one or more drones above the airports had been spotted. Russia would be behind it. Drones have become the deadly weapon in the war between Russia and Ukraine, sees foreign editor Rob Schoof. According to him, Europe is struggling with the threat of a drone war, a development that continues at lightning speed and changes everything.
