Football Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg gave the all-clear after the injury fright on his striker Alexandra Popp.
The long -time national player only suffered a bruise by the right lower leg, the club said on Monday evening. There was no “structural injury”, the statement said.
It is still questionable whether the leading player will be on the pitch next Wednesday (DAZN/7:00 p.m.) when playing against Werder Bremen.
Popp was collapsed with an opponent on Sunday shortly before the end of the game at the away game against 1. FC Köln on Sunday and had to leave the place. The 34-year-old was then led into the cabins with a thick bandaged right ankle.
