A passenger of a car was seriously injured on Saturday evening by an accident on the A27 near Bavel. The occupant was thrown out of the vehicle and ended up on the road surface, the police reported on X. In the accident, several cars were involved. The connecting road from Breda to Tilburg is closed due to the accident.
The first report of the accident arrived at the police just after half past eight. Emergency services have been pulled out, a trauma helicopter also arrived. The victim was taken to the hospital.
It is still unclear what exactly happened, the police are investigating. Around two hundred motorists came to a halt on the highway and eventually led away.
