After her long sickbed, Floortje Dessing is finally back. She appeared live at the table at Pauw & De Wit last night. “I am now at 80 percent or something, so I still do it carefully.”
It was a bit of a shock in May: Floortje Dessing then announced the reason for her many years of TV. She was struck by a rare form of endometriosis, which meant that she had to get the toughest painkillers and ‘really a junk’. “When I stopped, I got huge withdrawal symptoms. I became very depressed, could only cry.”
“Much better!”
Tim de Wit is happy that Floortje is again present. “Floortje, nice that you are back after a year of illness. Immediately made a journey again. You returned from the West Bank last night. How are you?”, He says at the table at the table Pauw & De Wit.
Floortje then: “Well, a lot better than last year, yes.”
Tim: “You shine again.”
Hospital bed
Floortje cannot believe she is back at work. “Yes, I am very happy that I can do this work again and I can participate again. In one go I was at home, on the couch and in a hospital bed and again on the couch and again in a hospital bed.”
The presenter is relieved that she did not have something terminal. “It is a disease that can be treated very well. They have taken everything away and I have actually been declared clean again. It is also about tissue, so it has turned out to be a blessing that it was.”
80 percent
Floortje’s condition was a whole search. “My form was really very rare. I believe there are 30 people in the world who have this and that it will grow can be counted entirely on one hand, so I have something very strange in that respect.”
How does she feel now? “I am at 80 percent or something, so I just have to do a little carefully and that is why I thought: then I will go to the West Bank.”
