The water treatment station can, among other things, solve the problem of blue algae. That was a big game breaker last summer for swimming in open water in the reien.
Professor Peter Goethals from Ghent University: “The systems are optimized to make the water clear and safe, and later there will also be planting on the pontoons for natural purification and biodiversity.”
