FC Energie Cottbus has reinforced again after the transfer – and twice. While Merveille Biankadi (30) enlarges the options on the offensive, Simon Straudi (26) will in future exercise pressure on Henry Rorig (25) on the right defense.
Biankadi has been under contract with Arminia Bielefeld in the past two seasons and contributed 19 goals and seven templates in 77 games. With the DSC, the offensive player surprisingly reached the cup final last season, and he also celebrated the promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. However, his contract was not extended. Only striker Timmy Thiele (34, 223 missions) played more third division games in the Cottbus squad than Biankadi (207).

Ex-Werder talent Straudi returns to Germany at Austria Klagenfurt after three years in Austria. The Italian completed 89 games for the purple, in which he reaches eight templates. After relegation from the Bundesliga, Straudi’s contract expired at the end of June.
“Simon was already in training in the past week, which we deliberately did not communicate. On the right outer lane, we defensively had only one player in the squad, so we wanted to position ourselves there even more. Simon convinced us in training and then we quickly agreed,” said Wollitz.
