Len (17) from Waalwijk, together with friend Mathijs, achieved a special achievement by walking out of the 80 van de Langstraat, despite his heart condition. They raised more than 2700 euros for the Hartstichting and took more than seventeen hours on the tour. At two homes in Brabant, there were explosions on Monday morning due to heavy fireworks. In Den Bosch there was an explosion at the house of a 66-year-old woman, where the window next to the front door broke down. A 43-year-old suspect was arrested in Oss after an explosive went off while a family with children was inside. The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) seized 498 birds with a 20-year-old trader in Brabant. These are cockatoos, rhino birds and gold -caps’ stels that are probably smuggled illegally from Africa and Asia. The man was arrested and the birds have been taken to shelter.
