A few months ago I attended a lecture at a member of parliament, who represented a party that started very enthusiastically, but is now only on one seat in the polls. She had been an alderman for years in her hometown and had received the Social Affairs portfolio, including the allowances, in the Lower House. She told for days before she had a bit of an idea how the allowance system worked. It was all very complicated and can hardly be able to comprehend a normal person with a normal common sense.
