RTL Tonight boss Carlo van Lienden is going loose at Angela de Jong. The TV maker apparently cannot handle her criticism and calls her an ‘ad-witch’ with a ‘spiritual disability’.
Start Loving, Stop Hating, Be Sweet: It is the most laughable campaign from the history of RTL. Nobody in the top of the media company is holding on and now another bizarre story is coming out about Carlo van Lienden, who is in charge of Megaflop RTL Tonight. He is pushed hard under the bus by Wilfred Genee.
Johan Pissig
Wilfred finds it stupid how Carlo works at RTL. He has formatted Tonight so much that there is absolutely no room for spontaneity and authenticity, while today Inside shows that the viewer yearns for untroused television that really feels. Now it appears that Carlo in his time at Talpa against that untreated VI has acted.
What does that show? Wilfred read yesterday Today Inside Passages for a long e-mail that Carlo sent as Talpa newsbaas about VI today, the precursor of the current today inside. “I don’t know that man, but he has been annoying for years. He is a kind of guru for the director and the management of Talpa,” says Johan Derksen.
Long emails
The Carlo was really listened to, Johan said. “He is the editor -in -chief who set up Boulevard and he is very cooking with that. I always tasted director that if he had spoken to Carlo van Lienden, we always received very long emails about what we all did wrong and we had to do differently.”
And see now: Carlo’s child RTL Tonight is a failure. “He has come up with this completely, thrown it in with ridiculous sections, a voice-over, people behind a weird counter. It hits Dirk as a cunt and it is all the work of the man who knows so much and sends our emails that there is no ass deet at all from our program.”
Wilfred is going loose
Wilfred then conjures up a long e-mail from his pocket. “I happened to have such an email in my mail from a few years ago. That was one week after the start of our program.”
That ‘wise’ TV maker Carlo says, among other things: “In the Gallic VI-village there was only one law for years: plans forbidden. Wilfred threw what he wanted, but that is not possible in a program like VI today. If you make a daily program about current affairs, I fear that you will not escape structure.”
Donald Duck
The spontaneity has to be removed, Carlo shouts in that mail. “To format VI there will have to be a fixed scenario in which exactly everyone knows where they stand.
Johan: “We didn’t listen to him. Fortunately.”
Carlo in the mail: “You have to show many images and first explain what the subject is about, because otherwise the viewer will not understand what you are doing. Certainly the SBS viewer that we all know that he already has trouble reading the Donald Duck will have to be taken more by the hand.”
Ad-witch
Wilfred therefore reads a passage in which Carlo really rags very much against the respected ad-opiniediva Angela de Jong. “Do not pay attention to that ad witch. Her spiritual disability ensures that she cannot see the men separately from their football expertise.”
Table guest Job Knoester is shocked: “Tjongejongejonge.”
And that is now in charge of the late talk show of RTL 4, where Angela was at the desk last week. What a sadness.
