After a victory against soccer record world champion Brazil, Bolivia can continue to dream of the first World Cup participation in 32 years.
Bolivia secured the last remaining playoff place in the South American World Cup qualification with a 1-0 (1: 0) victory against Brazil with starting coach Carlo Ancelotti. At over 4,000 meters in El Alto, Miguel marked “Miguelito” Terceros (45.+4, penalty) in the last qualification game for the World Cup.
Due to the victory, Bolivia passed Venezuela to seventh place, which had previously been a point in front and lost 3: 6 in the parallel game in Colombia. Venezuela falls back to eighth place, missing the playoffs and thus also the chance of participating in the World Cup.
