The fifth generation Clio looked quite like the fourth, but now Renault is taking substantial steps in the design of the design. For example, look at the grille of the new Clio, which is placed remarkably low, with half the ‘Wybertjes’ of the daytime running lights next to it.
Renault Clio looks like a transformer
Other eye -catching elements are the high hood, which makes a big pike dive towards the grille, and the open -worked headlight units. They hide deep in black, spectacle -like sculptures, making us remind us of the eyes of The Transformers.

At the back we see something similar. The Clio has no LED bar, like many new cars nowadays, but four separate units, also built into plastic forms. Renault has good to the Peugeot 208 GT looked, because from now on the Clio has standard black edges around the wheel arches. They are matte on the basic version, on the other shiny.
New generation or radical facelift?
Incidentally, this sixth generation Clio is less new than you might think. It is on the same CMF-B platform as its predecessor and has the same wheelbase. It is almost 7 centimeters longer: now 4.12 meters. Everything has changed in the engine area. For example, the entry-level person no longer has a 91 hp for 1.0-liter three-cylinder, but a 1.2 with 115 hp. The model is available with a manual gearbox or an automatic.

There is also a 120 hp version of LPG, but it does not come to the Netherlands. “We leave LPG to DaciaAccording to a Renault spokesperson. The strongest motor variant of the Clio is the 1.8-liter four-cylinder with electrical support and the multimodal transmission without coupling, which is known by other Renault models. The 1.8 replaces the Hybrid-1.6 with 143 hp and comes to a capacity of 160 hp and 205 Nm.
Interior
The disadvantage of the powertrain is that the 1.4 kWh battery of it takes a large part of the trunk. In the basic model, the content is 391 liters, in the hybrid only 309 liters. The interior of the brand new Clio is the Renaults, with three stems to the right next to the steering wheel (transmission, wipers and radio) and two screens in a light V-shape, so that the central display (always 10 inches) has been turned towards the driver.

The digital instruments are 7 or 10 inches, depending on the chosen version. It is great that Renault still uses physical buttons for the most important functions. We have good experiences with the Infotainment System on Google-Basis. What the Clio will cost if it goes on sale in the first quarter of 2026 is not known. The importer indicates that because of his richer equipment he will become slightly more expensive than his predecessor, which is there from 25,490 euros.
