After 30 years, Pulp appreciates their big (late) breakthrough album “Different Class”, which gave them a completely new audience.

The album will be released under the title “Different Class 30” on October 24th in a 4LP version and a 2CD set. For the first time, both variants contain the complete live set of their appearance at the Glastonbury Festival in 1995.

So far, the Pulp festival gig has only been available as a bootleg, now it is finally published in a decent sound quality.

In a message on the upcoming Reissue package, singer Jarvis Cocker said to the Glastonbury bonus: “Glastonbury in June 1995 will always remain the most important concert in the Pulp career. Three weeks after ‘Common People’ reached second place on the national charts, the band jumped for the last minute for The Stone Roses. Wizz ‘,’ Mis-Shapes’ and ‘Disco 2000’ all for the first time.

Pulp is particularly proud of the vinyl version, as Cocker added in the statement: “This 45-U/min double album version of ‘Different Class’ will significantly improve the sound. We were at the time that this had to be our ‘pop’ album and, as everyone knows Minutes.

The sound was removed by Geoff Pesche in the Abbey Road Studios under the supervision of Jarvis Cocker and Mark Webber.

Both editions contain a 28-page booklet with essay, new interviews with the band members and numerous previously unpublished pictures of the “Different Class” artwork photographer Rankin and Donald Milne. The original “Aperture” cover design brought the opportunity for fans to design their own cover and contained six double-sided side dishes with alternative cover motifs, which the band members showed in different situations. These have now been fully reproduced, and there is a poster with miniature versions of the cutouts.

So far it has been a special year for Pulp. A few months ago, they celebrated an album comeback with “more” after 24 years and garnished it with some spectacular concerts-including at the Glastonbury Festival. The British are currently on tour in the USA. There are no Germany appointments so far.
