Hesburger offers vegetable -based products at a much lower price than others. Is it profitable?

Hesburger announces that it is aiming for half of the products sold by 2030.
Customers are encouraged to have plant -based products at a lower price.

Hesburger’s plant-based products are covered by their own Veke brand. The question arises whether Veke products are sold at a lower price than it would be profitable. Veke products are sold at Hesburger for about two euros cheaper than similar meat products.

Veke products cost about two euros less than the corresponding meat products. Is this a profitable price and how is it possible in practice? Does the cheap selling price cover all the cost of the product?
-As we manufacture the steaks of Veke products in Kaarina, we can sell these products at a cheaper price, Salmela writes.
Hesburger did not comment on whether sales were profitable.
