Since 11 am this morning, parts of Blankenberge, Zuienkerke, Zeebrugge and Wenduine were without electricity. According to Fluvius, the cause was a problem with a transformer station where high voltage arrives from Elijah and is further distributed. “There was a problem with a power switch. A component broke, but it could be replaced fairly quickly,” says Fluvius.

In Blankenberge there was about half of the city without electricity. In total, more than 10,000 families were hit. In the meantime, all streets have electricity again.
