Johan Derksen is not at all impressed by the new late talk show on RTL 4. The today Inside star finds the farm-fresh RTL Tonight a blood-sane program. “It’s a disappointment.”
It is the intention of RTL 4 boss Peter van der Vorst to make Inside a cup smaller today. That program currently counts as the most viewed talk show in the Netherlands, but that is Peter BE. He has bought a few faces at VI and hopes to be a furore with RTL Tonight in the coming months. What does Johan Derksen think of it?
Incredibly regret
Johan watched the first episode on Sunday evening and reviewed it last night, a day later. Where? Just at the table Today Inside. “It was a very big disappointment. It already started with that lady who is the voice-over, with her hysterical shouting.”
He also finds the experts disappointing. “The people who are sitting there for a lot of money do not come into their own at all, because those are specialists and they can tell something about their specialty. That was, for the rest, they have to keep up. I think those people will regret it.”
Rippling program
It is not entertaining enough, says Johan. “It was a boring and babbling program and that Astrid Holleeder had a good story, I think that’s a personality that woman, but you can keep that story once and if she comes back tomorrow, she can’t get that story again, so I am curious how she deals with current affairs.”
What does he think of his former VI-lievelder Lale Gül? “Then I see Lale Gül sitting there and then I hoped … Lale Gül is sitting next to the mayor of Rotterdam and I was once terribly annoyed by him when he said in an interview:” If my daughter comes home with a non-Muslim, that gives problems. “
Fingers
Lale should have said something about that, says Johan. “Then I think: Lale, this is an ideal opportunity for you to tap him on his fingers. Look, you don’t have to expect anything from that mayor.”
“Albert is only allowed to say something about musicals, Lale Gül is completely in front of bacon and beans and that Mrs. Van de Telegraaf can just interpret a lawsuit, but here they can take a whole hour and participate.”
Little fear
René van der Gijp thinks those people still have to come loose. “I think that is the intention there, but nobody does it and they have a little fear of falling into each other. Albert tried it a few times to make something of it, but it was especially very static.”
He continues: “It was quite painful to look at, I thought, you know. If I didn’t do this program, I wouldn’t look for five weeks for example and then look again to see if they have picked it up a bit in the meantime.”
Pauw & De Wit
Johan expects Pauw & De Wit to win RTL Tonight’s competition. “René, I think Pauw & De Wit will easily win RTL, because those two control their profession. Now there was Renze, which I think with head and shoulders, but nothing is left with Beau and Humberto.”
According to him, there is no chemistry. “Isn’t it strange that people who come out of our paint are totally not out of the paint there?”
Table guest Valentijn Driessen concludes: “It’s all serious and bloody.”
