VfL Bochum awarded Samuel Bamba to the second Dutch league. The 21-year-old wing striker is said to receive more game practice from Willem II Tilburg than with the Bundesliga relegation. According to the association, a purchase option is not included.
Bamba was transferred from Borussia Dortmund to Bochum in 2024, but could not prevail in the first year. In addition to five substitutes in the Bundesliga, he was used three times in the second team in the Regionalliga West. This season, the two-footed offensive player met in the first round of the DFB Cup against the BFC Dynamo (3: 1 n. B.), but was in three games in the 2nd Bundesliga.
“Sammy needs regular competition practice, which is the goal of this loan,” said VfL managing director Sport Dirk Dufner. “It was his express wish to generate more playing time and strive for this loan. We will follow his way in Tilburg carefully and wish him every success with Willem II.”
