Kay Tejan will wear Telstar’s shirt for the next two seasons. The 28-year-old attacker comes from the French USL Dunkerque. Telstar has an option for a third season.

The football player born in Beverwijk played with the amateurs of DWS and AFC before he made his debut in professional football at FC Volendam. On 2 February 2018 he made his first minutes in professional football in the fishing village against Fortuna Sittard. A breakthrough was not forthcoming, after which he returned to Top Oss through the amateurs from Quick Boys and Kozak Boys.

Tejan has played football abroad in recent years. In Moldova he came out for FC Sheriff Tiraspol and then switched to LK LK LODZ. Last season the attacker was active on the second level in France.

“With Kay we get a fast, physically strong striker with the necessary experience,” says Telstars technical manager Peter Hofstede. For Tejan, his switch to Telstar means his debut in the Eredivisie. “It was always my dream to play in the Eredivisie. I am happy that I can take this step with Telstar.”

Telstar will play against PSV tomorrow night in Eindhoven. It is not yet clear whether Tejan is already entitled to play. The kick -off is at 8 p.m. You can follow the game live on Nhsport.nl
