Seven men and a woman were arrested on Tuesday for the riots at the PSV championship on Sunday 18 May. The suspects come from Eindhoven, Nuenen, Helmond, Valkenswaard and Heeze. Nine rioters were already arrested earlier.

The rioters arrested on Tuesday are recognized on camera images and images that have appeared in the media. Two of the suspects were first shown unrecognizable, later recognizable.

The seven men and the woman were invited to report to the police station and have all responded to it. They were arrested and interrogated on the desk. The oldest suspect is 53 years old and the youngest is 17 years old.

The suspects of the riots are not prosecuted, but receive an area ban in and around the Philips Stadium from the mayor for a period of two years. The police do not rule out that more arrests for the riots at the champion party.

In recent months, the criminal investigation has looked at camera images. According to rioters that could be seen that they used the most and most violent violence, separate research was done. The police already recognized part of the rioters themselves. To find out other names, the police spread recognizable photos.

Agents injured
The riots after the champion match broke around the Philips Stadium and were extreme. A large group of rioters sought confrontation with the police. They threw stones, glasses, traffic signs and heavy fireworks to the agents.

The officers got blows, stairs and objects were thrown at them. Fourteen agents were injured. The mobile unit had to intervene to restore the peace. On the day itself, 22 rioters were already arrested.
