BVB officially makes Chukwuemeka

BVB still has six days to sign new players. An reinforcement is now determined for the midfield.
Borussia Dortmund introduced a new addition: Carney Chukwuemeka joins BVB. The talented midfielder signed the “black and yellow” by 2030 and comes from Chelsea FC. According to media reports, the transfer is between 20 and 23 million euros.
“It feels really good to be an integral part of BVB now. I have met this club, the coach, my teammates and fans in the past few months and I am just glad that Borussia Dortmund is now my new football home,” said the Englishman, who was borrowed from BVB last season. “I will do everything for it so that we as a team achieve our goals.”
Chukwuemeka receives the number 17 at BVB, which he had already worn at the front. Managing Director Lars Ricken is happy about the reinforcement for the center. “It was important to us to add quality and creativity again in the offensive midfield. We are pleased that we were able to tie such a great talent as Carney to us in the long term and are now able to work together on his development,” enthused Ricken from the qualities of the 21-year-old.
Sports director Sebastian Kehl spoke of a “huge potential”. “It can make the difference by repeatedly finding solutions in tight rooms and gives us an additional footballing element in midfield that is very good for us,” Kehl said.
But it shouldn’t stay with Chukwuemeka. Striker Fábio Silva and defender Aaron Anselmino are also to switch to BVB, the announcement will follow in the coming days.
