As part of this year’s festival “Jamel Rockt the Förster” there was a twist between Dead Pants singer Campino and the CDU district administrator Tino Schomann. Campino, which appeared with the dead trousers at the festival, criticized the AfD as a clear opponent, but accused local CDU groups an approximation to the AfD-the media reported such as “World“. Schomann emphasized in a statemet, the allegations against him went too far. “The organizers and even the band ‘The Toten Hosen’ publicly claim that the district of Nordwestmecklenburg and I, as a district administrator, are near Neo -Nazis. This is wrong. It is a targeted discrediting of state action and exceeds every red line.” He pointed out that the festival was legally classified by registering as a meeting as a meeting and should therefore also apply to other rules: “This applies to all, without exception. Whether locally or prominent, whether the organizer or world star – nobody is above the law.”

In addition to the political debate, the focus was also on the music: the dead trousers made a surprise appearance on Friday evening, followed by KraftClub on Saturday. Artists such as Paula Hartmann, Betterov or the “Grandmas Against Right” also set a clear signal against right -wing extremism on stage.
